Wishlist Wednesday // 016

I've been going through a phase of wanting to redo my wardrobe. I've had the same clothes since middle school and I'm the kind of person to hold on to the old while adding new to my closet.
Coming home for the holidays, I'm walking back into my room full of items I don't need anymore and want to get rid of so much and start over and move on. #goals

01. Graphic Print Sweater from Oasap - This print is real cool and I love it on the gray. I've been all about sweaters lately and I want to collect more. I don't know why I don't have more!
02. Canvas Backpack from Oasap - I'm still searching for the perfect backpack and this one seems like the perfect structure and size I'm looking for.
03. Stay Home Club Tote Bag - This tote is awesome in size, and I'm sure it's the perfect bag to bring food shopping. And the print is real cool at the same time.
04. Farewell on Solestruck - Platforms were a thing I was always about and grew up wearing, and I love the grayscale and splatter.
05. Agyness Deyn/Dr. Martens on Solestruck - I have a love/hate relationship with Docs. I love the vintage feel/bowling shoes aspect.
06. Stay Home Club Pennant - I love pennants and banners and this one is adorable.

Seeing the items in this post has made me realized I've been all about neutrals and grays lately. I love my occasional bright pattern, but it's interesting to see how style changes over time.

Wishlist Wednesday // 015

Another week, another list of things I have discovered that I want.

01. ASOS Utility Backpack - I'm still on the quest to find useful things that have great function with some sort of fashion sense. I like this backpack because of all the pockets, and looks sleek with the black pleather.
02. Here's Johnny Sweater - I love the architecture and design in The Shining, and to see the carpet pattern knitted as a shirt is the most awesome thing ever. Plus, I'm cold and I need more sweaters.
03. Blaster 3.0 or anything like this by Jungle Tribe is fine by me. I've been having difficulty figuring out what I like. I don't have a decent backpack, I was never fond of purses, clutches are just dumb, my pockets are never big enough, and fanny packs are weird. I like this because it's sort of a fanny pack but cool. I was always into this style and wearing something like Alice would wear in Resident Evil would make me feel like a little bit of a bad ass. This 'leg pouch' seems like the perfect size for things I carry daily and I would buy this in a heartbeat. Christmas present anyone?
04. Totes Amaze: 25 Bags to Make for Every Occasion - I want to dive into making tote bags because I feel like that would be a lot of fun. This book seems to be useful with that.
05. Sacred Heart Basketball Shorts - I know cold weather is on its way (today remained in the 30s, and I'm currently sitting with a space heater on full blast right next to me). But I can dream of warm weather if I feel like it. Basketball shorts are my favorite and I love this design.

Wishlist Wednesday // 014

I got my first iPhone during the summer. I had my Samsung Galaxy S for about two and a half years. It was on its way out and I really needed a new phone, so I switched plans and got a new phone back in July. I couldn't be happier.
I'm currently on an iPhone case kick, even though I've only bought two since I got the phone.

I put together a little wishlist of cases I really like.

                                                   ~ 01. 02. 03. 04. 05. 06. ~

I love so many designs I've seen. I wish I can buy them all.

Wishlist Wednesday // 013

As I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, and to get my inspiration/creative juices flowing, I figured I'd post a wishlist as it is Wednesday.

01. Girls All Over Me Tee by Wacky Wacko - I love how funky this shirt is, and it features singers that I love and listen to.
02. Home book by Beci Orpin - Moving out has me wanting to partake in so many crafty/DIY projects to jazz up my new room. I love Beci's style and this book seems great.
03. Technical Sole Derby by Farewell - I know that wanting shoes that are not very practical should not be a thing for me right now, but I love these. The color combo and platforms are perfect. I miss wearing platform shoes and want to start that up again.
04. Pampa Sport Cuff by Palladium - I figured it's okay to want a pair of shoes for aesthetics, and want these for function. Portland is a very outdoorsy city with constant rain and many hiking trails. The majority of my shoes are not made for this weather, so I need to buy shoes that can handle it.
05. The Monster Mash on Threadless - My favorite shopping experiences are during Halloween season. I'm not a big fan of the holiday but I love buying sock and decor during this Halloween. This shirt is also just fantastic, as I'm a big fan of anyone's take on the monster mash.

I'm in no place to be spending money right now since I'm still jobless, but I may treat myself to one of these items. I've been doing well with budgeting since moving, so I figured why not. We'll see how I'm feeling after I have to pay for next months rent and bills, not to put a damper on anything.

Wishlist Wednesday // 012

While I've been packing, I've noticed that I've been packing a lot of books. It's been hard trying to decide what to take and what not to bring with me. I have plans on buying a bookcase from IKEA, and a goal of mine is to grow a cool art and music library/collection.

01. Worn Journal - I was sad to read that Worn is releasing their final issue. This magazine is amazing and it's sad to see it shut down during its peak point.
02. Not That Kind Of Girl by Lena Dunham - As much as there are certain things about Lena Dunham that annoy me, she's still an awesome key figure for girls to look up to. I'm excited to read into her memoir.
03. Chris Stein's Photobook - I love Blondie and I love Debbie Harry, and I always get exited to come across photo books with everything Debbie related. Especially photos coming straight from Chris Stein himself.
04. Sub Pop USA - The 90s is my favorite decade for music. And Sub Pop played such an important role in the grunge scene. The book hasn't been released yet but it's on my list of books to buy.
05. Gimme Indie Rock - Another music book - topics that I enjoy. And it was just released, so it's a nice new fresh book with up to date content.
06. Isa Does It: Vegan Recipe Book - I barely cook. Moving far from home, I'm going to have to take that up. Although I'm not a vegan, I enjoy vegan recipes and I thought this was a good way to start experimenting with cooking.

So much to buy! I can't wait to explore all the local shops (book stores and thrift shops) and build my library more!

Wishlist Wednesday // 011

Working in a screenprinting shop has changed my view on graphic shirts and garments in general.
I was walking through H&M recently with my friend/coworker and he even pointed out to me how he can't look at shirts the same way. Simple prints with simple one color text is so easy to make, why should we dish out over $20 for that, you know?
It's been somewhat hard to shop lately.

For me to buy a shirt with graphics and images, they need to be extravagant.
Beloved Shirts has some straight up cool shirts. As much as I can easily make shirts like these at work, I would buy these.
Here are five great shirts that I'm diggin':

01. Wave Tee 02. Flamingo Tee 03. Lick Me Tee 04. Donuts Tee 05. Chevron Tee

I have really developed a love for t-shirts. They're just great and just work with everything. Converse and t-shirts. Classics.

Wishlist Wednesday // 010

Happy July!

I've been craving some new things lately.
01. Urbanears Rainforest Headphones - I've had the same earphones for over a year (they've managed to last a while!) but I'm kinda over the earphones. They always fall out of my ears and I want something that won't cause those problems. I hear these are great headphones and I love the color combos.
02. Make Your Mark: Creative Ideas Using Markers, Paint Pens, Bleach Pens & More - Another book I want to add to my growing arts and crafts library.
03. Gorillaz 2-Tone Vinyl Figure - Noodle - I've been trying so hard to find this Noodle figurine. I've been searching for it for a few years and have failed so far. I hafta keep my eye on ebay!
04. Mermaid Perfume Spray - I have the Mermaid shampoo on one of my previous lists, but I'm so interested to try the perfume as well!
05. Sailor Mars Galaxy Edition Tee - My friend Steve designed these Sailor Moon shirts, and I think they're fantastic. Sailor Mars is my favorite if you wanted to know!

And there you go. I want to go on a spending spree.

Wishlist Wednesday // 009

After putting this little collage together, I realized that I accidentally followed a color scheme with the turquoise and red. Hmm. Oops.

01. Gola Spearmint Messanger Bag - I've been wanting a Gola bag for a while, but they have so many color options. I came across this turquoise and red that really follows through with my blog colors. I think it's perfect.
02. Shrink! Shrank! Shrunk! - Not that I need to dive into more crafty methods as I do enough already, but I really want to play around with shrink plastic. It looks so fun! I need an intro book to help me with this though.
03. Casio Katja Necklace by Danadamki - Speaking of shrink plastic, Danadamki makes a lot of jewelry with shrink plastic and I love it all. Her little figures are adorable and hilarious.
04. The Art Of Daniel Clowes - I've been wanting this book ever since it came out. I love Daniel Clowes art. Ghost World has become one of my favorite graphic novels ever since I saw the movie.
05. Dinosaur Engraved Rolling Pin - I came across this shop on Etsy and I really want one of their rolling pins. This dinosaur one is great. Takes baking to a whole new level!

But seriously though, I've been all about everything turquoise and red lately.

Wishlist Wednesday // 008

Two things: this is my 200th post! ++ I'm surprised with myself that I haven't gotten around to posting Portland pictures, but I am surely waiting for a good opportunity filled with free time this weekend coming to do so. Don't worry.

01. Lime Crime My Beautiful Rocket Opaque Lipstick & Hollygram Carousel Gloss - I'm not one to be all about buying makeup, but I love wearing fun colors every so often. A few months ago I managed to snag blue lipstick from Inglot, and even though I don't wear it often, it's a purchase I don't regret. I like fun lipstick!
02. Blueprints For Building Better Girls - I randomly came across this book browsing through Amazon. Sounds like my kind of read. I have so many books to tackle as it is, but this is surely on my list to get around to!
03. YES Tiger shoes - I LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes. The bold color and the geometric print. I need. And now you know.
04. VANS ASPCA Sneakers - I like VANS and I like cats. Basically sums up why I feel it's necessary to own a pair of these shoes. BAM.
05. Dan Funderburgh Tshirt - I have been enjoying patterns and art by Dan Funderburgh lately. His bold designs are something that inspire me to be simple. I came across this tshirt he designed, and I am loving the color combination mixed in with his pattern.

I'm so relieved that it's hump day. I'm anxious for the weekend to roll around because I have so much to do. My semester is over in less than three weeks! EEK!

Wishlist Wednesday // 007

Not one wish list seems to go by where shoes are not featured. I love shoes way too much.

01. One Small Stoop Floor Mat - I'm not a big fan of having rugs and mats on my floor as they tend to get in the way most of the time. But when I saw this moon mat, I figured I can make exceptions, right?
02. Musumono Socks - I love socks, and I love socks with fun patterns and colors. I don't have many solid colored socks, and that doesn't bother me. This is one I would definitely buy in a heartbeat.
03. Le Bunny Bleu Blue Brities Oxfords - Oxfords are my favorite spring and summer kind of shoe. I've bought quite a number over the years, and this is definitely a fun pair. I love the color combo!
04. Asos Montana Monk Shoes - While we're on a shoes kick, these shoes from Asos are wonderful, I love the pattern and they would sure stand out from anything else I have in my closet.
05. The Melancholy Of Mechagirl - I stumbled upon this book on Amazon and love the artwork from what I see. I've also been trying to take up reading again and I would not mind having this book be a part of my collection.

It's exciting to see some spring like weather roll around! Finally a break, and a chance to move on from this horrendous winter season.

Wishlist Wednesday // 006

After putting this little wish list together, I found common links between them. Day Of The Dead art, desserts, and books. Hmm.

01. Sergio Mora Graphic Tee - I came across a book Sergio illustrated called My Tattooed Dad, which looks absolutely adorable. The book is on my list as well, but after finding this shirt, I immediately got that "I want" feeling. I want them both!
02. Make Your Own Luck by Kate Moross - I discovered Kate a few months ago - I seriously love her geometrical style in her illustrations and graphics. A few days ago I saw she has a book that will be released in a month or two. I actually preordered it on Amazon but saw it was the French Edition? Oops. Had to either cancel the order or take up French. I canceled, but I'm keeping my eye open for when I come across the English version, preferably on Amazon.
03. Sugar Skull Cookie Cutter - Not that I have too much time on my hands these days to bake, but I'm interested in mastering cookie recipes involving cookie cutters. I tend to find recipes that don't involve intensely decorated cookies. I love Mexican folk art and cookies, so I feel like this is a thing I need to pick up on.
04. Sugar Skull Earrings by Pretty In Ink Jewelry - While we're on the Mexican folk art boat, I love love love these earrings! They're perfect sized and perfectly decorated!
05. The Circus Book: 1870-1950 - This past year I've been collecting books and building up somewhat of an art "library"/collection, and this is another must have! I love vintage circus poster designs and images.
06. Madeleine Cookie Pan - I've made these cookies before, but they don't seem to be as successful without the molds, at least in my house. I don't own the pan, so when I made them, my family thought they were mini muffins and therefore didn't care for them. I would make these so much more often if I owned the molds.

Music and I go in waves. Sometimes I'm on a roll listening to new music, buying cds and working on adding more to my music collection. But then other times I hide under a rock and listen to my classic rock radio station. Right now I'm in limbo, but here's one band that has peaked my interest and is getting me back into discovery mode. IO Echo is made up of everything I like about music including visual candy - this video is great visually. I want to own everything they release.

Wishlist Wednesday // 005

01. Sony Cyber-shot RX100 - I've been dying for a new camera. I was interested in investing in a DSLR, but I'm a simple person with simple needs; I basically like point & shoots. A friend told me about this amazing camera, and after seeing photos other people have taken, and even testing it out in person, I've concluded this is the camera for me. Maybe someday soon I'll think about going for it.
02. Malachite Spec Laptop Case - Speaking of investments, I mentioned I got a Macbook, right? Being that it's brand new and pretty damn costly, I obviously want to take good care of it. Can I has forest green case, please?
03. Kuzy Keyboard Cover - On the topic of jazzing up but protecting my computer, I think this light pink keyboard cover will look nice with the green case.
04. Dirty Laundry Ratatat Boots - I came across these clear faux-Docs boots that I think would be so much fun to wear. I adore fun socks and these boots would show them off for sure. And they seem effective for winter and rain.
05. Mermaid Shampoo & Conditioner - Browsing through other blogs, I've read a few reviews for this shampoo and conditioner and I've concluded that I'd LOVE to smell like a mermaid! I have an idea of what a mermaid's scent it (no, not fish) and I've read that the scent is what you'd imagine to be. I want to give this a try for sure.

And to cover my music of the moment, Keep Shelly In Athens released amazing new music last month. This is their recent music video. Amazing, amazing.

Wishlist Wednesday // 004

01. To Be Announced 'Lacey' Shoe - I have a love/hate relationship with shoes that screams ME because I want to own them all. These are too perfect.
02. Kids In The Hall: Complete Megaset - I was in FYE recently (yes, it still exists!) and found a boxed set for Kids In The Hall for a high price. I was tempted to buy it but it was just way too much for me to spend. I checked the series on Amazon, and for a much lower price I found this megaset with the entire series + the miniseries, and I concluded that I need this in my collection. Like, asap.
03. Speedball Fabric Screenprinting Ink Starter Set - I've been so interested in getting into screenprinting of some sort. I stumbled upon this ink starter pack on Amazon which has a good set of colors and for a low price. This is on my "buy this soon" list.
04. Moxi Lolly Floss Skates - Still on a roller skating kick. While Googling, I found this fantastic pair by a fantastic company I've never heard of before. Love the color and everything about it!
05. Smashing Pumpkins 'Aeroplanes Flies High Boxed Set - I heard on the radio about this recently, and I immediately got excited. So. Much. Smashing Pumpkins. Music. Need this now.

My song of the moment is this weird tune by David Lynch featuring Karen O. Love it.

Wishlist Wednesday // 003

I find it hard to follow through with these wishlists. I love shopping; I love shopping for clothes, art supplies, shoes, hair dye, and pretty much everything else I haven't listed. But while I, like many others, want want want, I try not to be so materialistic. I tell myself I have so much already. These are all wants, not needs. But once in a while, I like to create lists for future reference for when I want to treat myself.
I don't have a theme for this wishlist; these are random wants I came across recently.

01. The Riot Grrrl Collection - This is a new book that was published by The Feminist Press at CUNY with 350+ pages of zine styled riot grrrl pages. This book looks amazing.
02. Beetlejuice: The Complete Series - When I found out recently that they released the entire series on DVD, I knew I immediately wanted this. This is one obscure cartoon from my childhood that I really want to reconnect with.
03. Rookie Retro - Blue/Yellow Roller Skates - One dream of mine will always be to join the roller derby. I was never much of a skater when I was young, and so I'm quite rusty. I want a pair of roller skates to practice!
04. La Riche Directions Alpine Green Hair Dye - I've tried all kinds of hair dye for unnatural colors, but I've never used Directions before. In fact, I never heard of it before a few days ago. I've read good reviews and I want to try their green; it looks like the perfect shade of green I'm looking for.
05. Jeffrey Campbell Hawk Be Skull - I love Jeffrey Campbell. Some JC shoes are too wild for my taste and some are just right. I don't own a pair of shoes like this and they instantly caught my attention. I want!

I've been all about foreign music lately. My song of the moment is this Italian song by Fran Jeffries. This version appeared in the 60s Pink Panther movie and it's fantastic.

Wishlist Wednesday // 002

Haven't had a "Wishlist Wednesday" post in a while.
I thought I would make this a shoe wishlist. I wish I could just splurge and buy all of these!

01. Trip Oxfords from Wanted. I love oxfords and platforms, and seeing them both together makes me super happy.
02. Amazing Platforms by Jeffrey Campbell. I'm not big into most Jeffrey Campbell shoes, but he knows how to design platforms that spark my interest.
03. Suebee by Jeffrey Campbell. Another JC pair that I love! They're classy, and platforms once again! I've been dying to find a Mary Jane like style in platform form, and these are perfect.
04. Page 8 Eye Boots in both Black and Cherry Red by Dr Martens. I've been all about everything velvet lately, and these are classic Docs that satisfy my cravings.
05. Grey Black Creepers by T.U.K. I love creepers and I love them in grey, just as these are.

Oh man, I really need to go shoe shopping, right now.

Wishlist Wednesday // 001

Another weekly post!
I'm not a materialistic person, well maybe I am. There's so many things I'd like to buy in the world. Here are some cute things that I wish I could own. Maybe I'll treat myself to one of these soon.

01. Cat Eye Glasses Ring from The Harbinger Co. I would wear this all the time.

02. Screen Printed Wool Log Pillow from My Imaginary Boyfriend on Etsy. Makes me think of Twin Peaks.

03. Primitive Art Pro-Keds Royal High Top Sneakers from Zazzle. These are fun!

04. Alice In Wonderland Two Cards Glass from Urban Outfitters. I have three other glasses from this set. I'd like to have this one to make it an even number.

05. No Wave by Marc Masters from Amazon. I love reading music-related books. I was so anti-reading up until I picked up Kristin Hersh's memoir Rat Girl. I fell in love with it and just started reading books on music or memoirs/biographies about musicians. It got me back into liking books. This book seems really good and informative.

Hope you're all having a wonderful Wednesday!
Can't wait for that new Psych episode tonight.
